Most of what gets called “AI” today is a chatbot window bolted onto an existing app. We think the more interesting work is invisible: AI that disappears into a well-designed product and lets a real person solve a real problem without ever thinking about the model that powers it.

The two most common ways small business owners think about giving their team a stake today are: (1) a spreadsheet with everyone's percentages on it, or (2) a $3,000 attorney engagement that takes six weeks. Both are awful.
The dedicated equity tools that exist — Carta, Pulley, Cake Equity — were built for venture-backed tech startups with preferred shares, 409A valuations, and Delaware C-corps. The vocabulary, the pricing, and the assumptions all break for a twelve-person creative agency or a family-run restaurant bringing on a partner.
